Driving
From the main area of Mammoth Lakes, head southeast on Main Street towards Old Mammoth Road. Continue on Old Mammoth Road for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Lake Mary Road. Turn left onto Lake Mary Road and follow it for approximately 3 miles. Look for signs indicating Brees Lookout; the road will lead you to the lookout. Parking is available at the site. Note that the final portion of the road leading to the lookout may be a bit rough, but passable for most vehicles. Parking is free.

Take the Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA) bus service from the Mammoth Lakes Transit Center. Board the bus on the route that services Lake Mary. Check the ESTA bus schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary depending on the season. Once you arrive at the Lake Mary stop, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile along Lake Mary Road to reach Brees Lookout. Walking may involve some elevation gain, so wear appropriate footwear. A single ride fare on ESTA is approximately $2. There are no additional costs to access the lookout.
