Driving
From I-680 North or South, take the Sierra Road exit and head east. Continue on Sierra Road for approximately 5 miles. The entrance to Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve will be on your left. Note that parking is free, but limited to 37 spaces, and no parking is allowed along Sierra Road. Arrive early, especially on weekends, to secure a spot.
Public Transport
VTA bus lines 61, 62, and 71 have stops near Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve. From the Piedmont & Pinnacle stop, it is approximately a 81-minute walk (6930 yards) to the preserve entrance. Check the VTA website for the most up-to-date schedules and fare information. A single ride fare is $2.50.
Biking
Sierra Road provides access to the preserve for cyclists. Be prepared for a steady climb, as Sierra Road gains elevation as it approaches the preserve. There are bike racks available at the parking lot. Remember to bring water and be prepared for varying weather conditions.
