Use signs for San Francisco and continue onto the Bay Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, follow signs for Embarcadero and continue on this road. Take a left onto Bay Street, which will lead you directly to the Fisherman’s Wharf area. Look for parking signs; there are multiple parking garages around Pier 39, but expect to pay around $20 for a few hours. Once parked, walk towards Pier 39, and you'll find the sea lions on the docks.

Public Transportation
To reach the Sea Lion Viewing Area via public transportation, you can take the Muni Metro (N-Judah, T-Third, or any other line that connects to Montgomery Station). From Montgomery Station, transfer to the Muni bus (routes 8, 30, or 47) that heads to Fisherman’s Wharf. The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at the Fisherman’s Wharf stop, and follow the signs to Pier 39. The sea lions can be found lounging on the docks near the pier. Note that a one-way trip on Muni costs around $3.
