Start at the Palo Alto Caltrain Station. From the station, board the northbound train towards San Francisco. Get off at the Mountain View Station, which is about a 15-minute ride. Once you arrive at Mountain View Station, exit the station and head to the bus stop. Take the VTA Bus Line 40 towards the Mountain View Transit Center. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'N Shoreline Blvd & Amphitheatre Pkwy' stop. From there, walk north on North Shoreline Boulevard for about 10 minutes. Rengstorff House will be on your right at 3070 N Shoreline Blvd.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs available in Palo Alto. Start at the Palo Alto Caltrain Station and head south on Alma Street. After about 1 mile, turn left onto Lytton Avenue, which will lead you to the Bay Trail. Continue on the Bay Trail, which runs parallel to the shoreline. Follow the trail for approximately 3 miles, then turn right onto North Shoreline Boulevard. Continue for about 0.5 miles, and Rengstorff House will be on your left at 3070 N Shoreline Blvd.

If you're staying in downtown Palo Alto, you can walk to Rengstorff House. Start at University Avenue and head east towards Alma Street. Turn left on Alma Street and continue for about 1 mile until you reach Lytton Avenue. Turn right on Lytton Avenue then left onto the Bay Trail. Walk along the trail for approximately 3 miles until you reach North Shoreline Boulevard. Turn right, and after a short walk of about 0.5 miles, Rengstorff House will be on your left at 3070 N Shoreline Blvd.
