Walking
If you are starting from downtown Palo Alto, head east on University Avenue until you reach El Camino Real. Turn left onto El Camino Real and walk north. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the Stanford Avenue intersection. Turn right onto Stanford Avenue and continue walking straight until you reach the Stanford University campus entrance. Once on campus, follow the signs for the Dish, which will lead you to the Dish trailhead located at the end of Stanford Avenue. It is approximately a 1.5-mile walk from downtown Palo Alto.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From downtown Palo Alto, walk to the nearest bus stop for the Stanford Marguerite Shuttle (Line P). Board the shuttle heading towards the Stanford Dish. The shuttle runs frequently, and the ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at the 'Dish' stop. From there, follow the trail signs leading to the Dish, which is about a 5-minute walk from the shuttle stop.

If you have a bicycle, start in downtown Palo Alto and head east on University Avenue. Turn left onto El Camino Real and then right onto Stanford Avenue. Follow Stanford Avenue until you reach the Stanford University campus. There are bike paths leading directly to the Dish trailhead. The entire bike ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your speed.
