Discover more about Zinalley Winery

Zinalley Winery, nestled in the Templeton Gap of California's Central Coast, is a small, family-owned winery dedicated to crafting exceptional Zinfandels. Once part of the old Pesenti Estate, Frank Nerelli and his wife Connie acquired the property in the early 1970s and planted dry-farmed, head-pruned vines, honoring old-world traditions while incorporating modern technology. Zinalley produces a limited number of cases each year, around 500, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and quality. The winery's location benefits from the area's unique terroir, characterized by rolling hills, Linne Calodo soil, hot summer days, and cool coastal nights, ideal for Zinfandel grapes. The tasting room exudes a friendly and laid-back atmosphere, welcoming all guests, including families with young children. The tasting room is unpretentious and sits on a small knoll overlooking the rolling wooded hills of the Templeton Gap. Inside, visitors will find Italian pottery and gourmet food items for sale. Visitors to Zinalley can expect a personalized tasting experience, often with the owner, Frank Nerelli. The winery's artistic labels, inspired by Tuscan alleyways and painted by a Tuscan artist, add to the winery's charm. Zinalley wines are exclusively available for purchase in the tasting room.
