Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Palo Alto Transit Center (Caltrain/VTA), the free Stanford Marguerite Shuttle provides frequent service to various locations on the Stanford campus. Several lines operate, so check the schedule for the most convenient route to your destination. VTA buses also serve the campus. Clipper cards are accepted.

  • Walking

    From the Palo Alto Transit Center, Stanford University is approximately a 30-45 minute walk. Head southwest on Palm Drive, the main entrance to the university. Follow Palm Drive to reach the Main Quad and other central campus locations. The route is well-paved and pedestrian-friendly.

  • Driving

    From Highway 101, exit onto University Avenue and head west towards Palo Alto. Continue on University Avenue, which becomes Palm Drive as you enter the Stanford campus. Visitor parking is available in designated areas throughout the campus. Parking is enforced until 4 PM on weekdays. Hourly rates are $1.50. Payments can be made via ParkMobile.
