Public Transportation
From downtown Redwood City, take the Caltrain (San Francisco/San Jose line) northbound from the Redwood City Caltrain Station. Get off at the Menlo Park station. From there, transfer to the SamTrans Bus line 140 towards Stanford Shopping Center. Get off at the stop at Alpine Rd & Portola Rd. From the bus stop, walk southeast on Portola Rd for about 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance of the Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve.

Biking
Start in downtown Redwood City and head west on Broadway St towards El Camino Real. Once you reach El Camino Real, turn left and continue south until you reach Sand Hill Rd. Turn right onto Sand Hill Rd and follow it until it becomes Portola Rd. Continue on Portola Rd for about 4 miles until you reach the entrance of Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve.

Walking
From downtown Redwood City, head to El Camino Real and walk south. Continue until you reach Sand Hill Rd. Turn right onto Sand Hill Rd and follow it until it becomes Portola Rd. This is a longer walk, approximately 5 miles, but it will take you directly to the entrance of Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve.
