Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in downtown Sacramento, start at the intersection of 5th Street and L Street. Head east on L Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the California State Capitol Park located at 1300 L St, Sacramento, CA 95814. The park will be on your right. You will see the impressive Capitol building at the entrance.

  • Public Transit - Light Rail

    If you're near the light rail stations, board the Blue Line or Green Line towards Sacramento Valley Station. Get off at the 7th & Capitol station. From there, walk two blocks east on Capitol Mall, which will lead you directly to the park entrance at 1300 L St. The Capitol building is easily visible from the light rail station.

  • Public Transit - Bus

    Check the local bus routes and find a bus that stops near the Capitol area. Routes 11, 30, and 38 have stops close to the park. Disembark at the 'Capitol Mall & 13th St' stop. From there, walk two blocks south to reach the entrance of California State Capitol Park at 1300 L St.
