Walking
Central Park is located at 420 Central Ave in downtown Salinas, making it easily accessible on foot from many points in the city center. From the National Steinbeck Center, walk east on W Alisal St, then turn right onto Central Ave. The park will be on your right. The walk is approximately 5 minutes and is free.
Public Transport
To reach Central Park via public transportation, use the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST). Several MST routes serve the park. Take MST Route 20 and get off at the 'Central Ave & Main St' stop. From there, walk east on Central Avenue for about 5 minutes; Central Park will be on your left. A one-way fare on MST is approximately $2. Check the MST schedule for the latest route information.
Driving
If driving, take US-101 N and exit 331 for Market Street toward Salinas. Merge onto Market Street, then continue straight. Turn left onto Central Avenue. Central Park will be on your right at 420 Central Ave. Parking may be available on-site or on nearby streets. Metered street parking costs around $1.25 per hour. Several parking lots and garages are also available downtown, with monthly rates ranging from $40-$55.
