For those using public transportation, the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) Bus Route 30 stops at La Jolla Shores Drive & Discovery Way. From there, walk 100 feet east to Expedition Way and then downhill 0.3 miles to the entrance. Alternatively, the North County Transit District (NCTD) Bus Route 101 stops at Expedition Way; from there, it's a 15-minute walk down Expedition Way to the aquarium. A one-way fare on either bus route is approximately $2.50.
