From Fisherman's Wharf, head southeast on Jefferson Street toward Powell Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Powell Street. Turn left onto Powell Street and walk for about 0.4 miles until you reach the Embarcadero. At the Embarcadero, turn right and walk along the waterfront. After about 0.3 miles, you will arrive at Pier 15 where the Exploratorium is located. The total walking distance is approximately 0.7 miles, which should take around 15-20 minutes.

From Fisherman's Wharf, you can take the Muni Bus Line 47 (the 47 bus stop is located near the intersection of Jefferson and Taylor Streets). Board the bus and ride for 3 stops, getting off at the 'Embarcadero & Green St' stop.
