Getting There

After about a 10-minute walk, you will reach Pier 39, which is famous for its sea lion population. The sea lions can be found lounging on the docks, just beyond the shops and restaurants.

    Another option is to take the Powell-Hyde cable car from the Powell Street terminal. Board the cable car and enjoy the scenic ride. Get off at the stop closest to the Embarcadero.
