Getting There

Walking
If you are near the Fisherman's Wharf area, you can easily walk to Pier 33. Start at the iconic Fisherman’s Wharf sign. Head northeast along Jefferson Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Embarcadero. At this point, you will see a large sign for Pier 33. Turn left onto Embarcadero and walk straight for about 5 minutes. Pier 33 will be on your right, just past the Alcatraz Landing.

Public Transportation (Muni)
To reach Pier 33 via public transportation, find the nearest Muni bus stop. The 47 or 8 bus lines can take you closer to the Pier. Board the bus heading towards the Embarcadero and disembark at the 'Embarcadero & Bay St.' stop. From there, walk northeast along the Embarcadero for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Pier 33 on your right. Note that a one-way fare on Muni is $3.00, and you can pay using a Clipper card or cash.

Cable Car
If you want to experience a classic San Francisco cable car, you can take the Powell-Hyde or Powell-Mason lines. Board the cable car at the Powell and Market intersection and ride it to the end of the line at Hyde Street and Beach Street. From there, walk straight towards the waterfront along Beach Street, then take a right onto Embarcadero. Walk along Embarcadero for about 10 minutes until you see Pier 33 on your right. Note that a one-way fare for the cable car is $8.00.
