Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From anywhere in San Francisco, take MUNI bus lines 8, 39 or the F-Line streetcar to Pier 39. The F-Line provides a scenic route along the Embarcadero. A single ride on MUNI costs $3. Alternatively, from the East Bay, take BART to Embarcadero Station, then transfer to the F-Line streetcar.

  • Walking

    If you are already near Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 is easily accessible by foot. From the intersection of Jefferson Street and Taylor Street, walk east along Jefferson Street, then turn left onto the Embarcadero. Continue north, and Pier 39 will be on your right. The walk is approximately 10 minutes.

  • Driving

    Driving to Pier 39 is straightforward, but parking can be expensive. From the north, take Highway 101 South, exit at Lombard Street, turn left onto Van Ness Avenue, right onto Bay Street, and left onto the Embarcadero. From the south, take Highway 101 North to Highway 80 East, exit at 4th Street, continue onto Bryant Street, and turn left onto the Embarcadero. The Pier 39 Garage is located across the street from the entrance. Weekday parking rates are $10 per hour, with a maximum of $50 per day. Weekend and holiday rates are $12 per hour, with a maximum of $60 per day.
