Walking
If you are in downtown San Mateo, start by walking towards the intersection of 3rd Avenue and El Camino Real. From there, head southeast on El Camino Real for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with 41st Avenue. Turn right onto 41st Avenue and continue for about 0.3 miles. You will see a sign for Coyote Point Recreation Area on your left. Continue straight until you reach the entrance of the park. Magic Mountain Playground is located within Coyote Point Recreation Area, just a short walk from the main entrance.
Public Transit (Bus)
From downtown San Mateo, walk to the nearest bus stop on 2nd Avenue and El Camino Real. Catch the SamTrans bus route 250 heading towards Coyote Point. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop for Coyote Point Recreation Area. After disembarking, walk towards the entrance of the park. Magic Mountain Playground is located inside the park, just a short distance from the entrance.
Biking
If you prefer biking, start from downtown San Mateo and head towards 3rd Avenue. Bike along 3rd Avenue until you reach El Camino Real. Turn right onto El Camino Real and continue for about 0.5 miles. Then, turn right onto 41st Avenue and bike for about 0.3 miles until you reach Coyote Point Recreation Area. There are bike racks available near the entrance, and Magic Mountain Playground is just a short ride from there.
