    Public Bus

    Start at the San Mateo Caltrain Station. Take the Caltrain to the Millbrae Station. From Millbrae, transfer to BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the Embarcadero Station. From Embarcadero, take the Muni bus 38 Geary towards Point Lobos Avenue. Get off at the last stop, which is near Sutro Baths. Walk a short distance to reach the entrance at 1004 Point Lobos Ave.

    Rent a bicycle from any local rental shop in San Mateo. Head towards the Bay Trail and follow it north towards San Francisco. As you approach the Golden Gate Bridge, you can follow signs leading to the Presidio and then to Lincoln Park.
