Public Transportation
From the San Ramon Valley Transit Center, take the Tri Delta Transit Route 15 bus towards Martinez. The bus will take you through several stops, including the Walnut Creek BART station. Ride the bus until you reach the Martinez Amtrak Station. Once you arrive, exit the bus and walk northeast on Alhambra Avenue for about 0.5 miles. You'll find the John Muir National Historic Site on your right at 4202 Alhambra Ave.

Walking
If you are near the San Ramon Central Park, you can walk to the John Muir National Historic Site. Start by heading south on Alcosta Blvd towards Crow Canyon Road. Continue onto Crow Canyon Road until you reach the intersection with San Ramon Valley Blvd. Turn left and walk towards the Walnut Creek BART station. From there, take the Tri Delta Transit Route 15 bus towards Martinez as mentioned above.

For those who prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in San Ramon. Start your ride heading south on San Ramon Valley Blvd. After about 2 miles, turn left onto Crow Canyon Road, which will lead you to Alhambra Ave. Continue on Alhambra Ave for about 1.5 miles until you reach John Muir National Historic Site at 4202 Alhambra Ave. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
