Getting There

Hiking
From the Giant Forest area, start at the General Sherman Tree. Follow the well-marked trails leading to the Congress Trail. Hike along the Congress Trail, which is approximately 2 miles long, taking in the stunning views of the giant sequoias. After completing the Congress Trail, return to the main road and continue towards the Generals Highway (CA-198). From here, you will need to walk along the road (be cautious of vehicles) toward the direction of the Lodgepole Visitor Center. This walk is about 1 mile. Once you reach the intersection of the Generals Highway and the road leading to Vista Point, continue walking for another half mile until you see the signs indicating Vista Point.
