Take the trail leading towards the overlook, which is about a 1.5-mile hike uphill. Follow the marked path, and you will arrive at the stunning viewpoint overlooking the redwoods.

  • Shuttle

    If you are near the Lodgepole Visitor Center, you can take the Sequoia National Park shuttle service. Board the shuttle at the Lodgepole stop and ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Redwood Mountain Overlook. The shuttle will take you along CA-198. Upon arrival, follow the short path to the overlook area, enjoying the scenic views along the way.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bike, start from the Giant Forest area and take the bike path towards the Generals Highway. Continue biking east along the Generals Highway until you reach CA-198. Make a right turn onto CA-198, and you will find the entrance to Redwood Mountain Overlook shortly after. There are bike racks available at the overlook where you can securely park your bike.
