Car
From any location in Sierra Nevada, start by getting onto CA-89 N. If you are in South Lake Tahoe, head northwest on US-50 W toward CA-89 N. Continue on CA-89 N for approximately 20 miles. You will pass by beautiful Lake Tahoe scenery. As you approach Tahoma, look for signs indicating Hellman-Ehrman Mansion. Turn left onto Tahoma's main road, which is located just before the mansion's entrance. Follow this road until you reach the mansion. Parking is available on-site, but be aware that it may incur a small parking fee.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from South Lake Tahoe to Tahoma. Check the local bus schedules, as services may vary. Once you arrive at Tahoma, the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion is about a 15-20 minute walk from the bus stop. Head west on CA-89, and follow the signs to the mansion. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be uneven. Remember to check the bus timings for your return trip to ensure you don't miss the last bus.
