Olmsted Point is located along Tioga Road (Highway 120), approximately 10 miles (16 km) west of Tuolumne Meadows and 30 miles (48 km) east of Crane Flat. From Yosemite Valley, take Highway 120 to the Crane Flat turnoff, then follow Tioga Road east. From Yosemite's east entrance at Tioga Pass, drive west on Tioga Road. Look for the large, paved parking lot on the south side of the road. Tioga Road is typically open from late May/early June to sometime in November; check conditions before heading out. Parking is free.
