Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Royal Palace, exit the palace grounds and head north on Preah Sisowath Quay, which runs along the riverside. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Norodom Boulevard. Turn left onto Norodom Boulevard and walk straight for about 1 km. You will see the Independence Monument on your right, just past the intersection with Street 240.

    From Central Market (Psar Thmei), exit the market and head south on Street 63. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Norodom Boulevard. Turn right onto Norodom Boulevard and walk about 1 km. The Independence Monument will be on your left, just before the intersection with Street 240.

    If you are near Wat Phnom, head south on Street 92 towards the Tonle Sap River. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Street 154. Turn left onto Street 154 and follow it until you reach Norodom Boulevard. Turn right and walk straight for about 1.5 km. The Independence Monument will be on your right, just after the intersection with Street 240.

    From the Russian Market (Toul Tom Poung Market), exit the market and head north on Street 163. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Norodom Boulevard. Turn right onto Norodom Boulevard and walk approximately 1 km. You will find the Independence Monument on your left side before reaching Street 240.
