Getting There

  • Car

    From Preah Vihear town, head northeast on National Road 64 (NR64) for approximately 30 km. You will pass through the town of Chorm Ksan. Continue on NR64 until you reach the junction at the village of Angkrang. Turn left onto the road leading to the National Forest. Continue for about 10 km until you see signs for the entrance to the National Forest. Please note that there may be a small entrance fee for the forest, so keep some cash on hand.

  • Public Transportation

    Take a local bus or shared taxi from Preah Vihear town to Chorm Ksan. Buses depart from the central bus station, and the fare is usually around $2-$3. Upon reaching Chorm Ksan, you can hire a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the entrance of the National Forest. The moto-taxi ride will cost approximately $5-$7 for the trip. Make sure to negotiate the fare before getting on.

  • Motorbike Rental

    For a more adventurous option, you can rent a motorbike in Preah Vihear town. Rental shops are located near the central market. The cost is about $5-$10 per day. From the town, head northeast on NR64, following the same route as for cars. This option allows for flexibility in exploring the surrounding areas as you travel towards the National Forest.
