Getting There

• Bus

  From downtown Charlottetown, walk to the nearest bus stop on Queen Street. Take the bus route 1 towards Cornwall. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop for York, which is close to the intersection of Route 2 and Route 19. From there, walk along Route 19 heading northeast for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Cottage Crescent. Dalvay-by-the-Sea National Historic Site is located at 16 Cottage Crescent, and you will see the entrance ahead.

• Bike

  Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in downtown Charlottetown. Head out on to the Confederation Trail, following the signs towards York. Continue on the trail for about 6 kilometers. When you reach York, take a left onto Route 19 and ride for about 1 kilometer until you see Cottage Crescent. Turn onto Cottage Crescent; Dalvay-by-the-Sea National Historic Site will be on your right.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, start from the Charlottetown waterfront. Head east on Water Street, then take a left onto Queen Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 2. Follow Route 2 for about 5 kilometers to York. Once you reach York, take a right onto Route 19. After about 1 kilometer, take a left onto Cottage Crescent; Dalvay-by-the-Sea National Historic Site will be at 16 Cottage Crescent on your right.
