Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Halifax, Nova Scotia. Use the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 102) to reach Halifax. Once in the city, take the exit for South End/University Avenue. Continue on University Avenue, then turn left onto Summer Street. The Museum of Natural History is located at 1747 Summer St, Halifax, NS B3H 3A6. There is street parking available, but be aware that parking fees may apply.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus to Halifax. If you are coming from other parts of Nova Scotia, you can use Maritime Bus services. Once in Halifax, transfer to the Halifax Transit bus service. Take Route 14 (to the South End) and get off at the Summer Street stop. The Museum of Natural History is just a short walk from the bus stop. Ensure you have exact change or a valid transit pass for the bus fare, which typically costs around CAD 3.50.

  If you are already in central Halifax, walking to the Museum of Natural History is a great option. From the waterfront area, head north on Barrington Street, then turn left onto Spring Garden Road. Continue straight until you reach Summer Street, then turn right. The museum will be on your left at 1747 Summer St. This walk should take around 15-20 minutes depending on your starting point.
