Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car from anywhere in Montérégie, get onto Autoroute 20 (A20) heading towards Montreal. Continue on A20 until you reach the exit for Autoroute 720 (A720) towards downtown Montreal. Follow A720, which will lead you directly into the city. Take the exit for Rue Saint-Jacques. Continue on Rue Saint-Jacques until you reach Côte de la Place d'Armes. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that some lots may charge a fee of around $10-$20 CAD depending on duration.

• Public Transportation (Train + Metro)

  To reach Place d'Armes using public transportation, start by taking a train from your nearest station in Montérégie to Montreal's Central Station (Gare Centrale). You can take the EXO (formerly known as AMT) train service, which connects various towns in Montérégie to Montreal. Once you arrive at Central Station, follow the signs to the Metro (subway). Take the Orange Line towards Côte-Vertu and get off at the Place-d'Armes station. Exit the station and walk east on Rue Saint-Jacques until you reach Côte de la Place d'Armes. The total fare for the train is approximately $8 CAD, and the Metro fare is around $3.50 CAD.

• Bus

  For those preferring bus travel, check for services provided by the RTL (Réseau de transport de Longueuil) or other regional transit systems that connect to Montreal. Look for routes that head to Berri-UQAM station. From Berri-UQAM, transfer to the Metro and take the Orange Line towards Côte-Vertu. Get off at Place-d'Armes station, exit onto Rue Saint-Jacques and walk east to Côte de la Place d'Armes. Bus fares typically range from $3.50 to $4.25 CAD, depending on the distance.
