If you're traveling by car from central Ottawa, start by getting onto the ON-416 S highway. Follow signs for ON-416 S, and then merge onto ON-417 E. Continue on ON-417 E until you reach the exit for Bronson Ave. Take the exit towards Bronson Ave and merge onto Bronson Ave. Continue straight for about 3 km until you reach the intersection with Hog's Back Rd. Turn left onto Hog's Back Rd, and the Rideau Canal Locks 11-12 - Hogs Back will be on your left. There is free parking available along Hog's Back Rd.

Public Transportation (Bus)
For public transportation, you can take OC Transpo bus route 111 from downtown Ottawa. Board the bus at the nearest stop to your location, and make sure to check the schedule for the next departure. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Hog's Back Rd. From the bus stop, walk for about 5 minutes along Hog's Back Rd heading towards the canal, and you will arrive at the Rideau Canal Locks 11-12 - Hogs Back. Be aware that a bus fare of approximately CAD 3.75 is required for a single trip.

If you prefer cycling, there are bike paths available from various parts of Ottawa. You can start at the Rideau Canal Pathway, which is well-marked and offers scenic views. Follow the pathway south towards Hog's Back Rd. The journey from downtown Ottawa will take about 25-30 minutes. Once you reach Hog's Back Rd, continue until you see the locks. Ensure you have a bike lock to secure your bike while you explore the area.
