Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of Parkland Region, take the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) heading east. Continue for approximately 25 kilometers. Take the exit toward Ottawa and merge onto Highway 416 North. Follow the signs for Ottawa and continue until you reach the intersection with Highway 174. Merge onto Highway 174 East. After about 15 kilometers, take the exit for Orléans and follow the signs to Tweddle Road. Turn left onto Tweddle Road, and after a short drive, you will find Petrie Island Beach on the right. Parking is available, but be aware there may be a fee during peak seasons.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Petrie Island Beach using public transportation, start by locating a nearby bus stop in Parkland Region. Take OC Transpo Bus 94 toward Orléans. Once you arrive at the Orléans station, transfer to Bus 30 toward Place d'Orléans. Get off at the Tweddle Road stop. From there, it’s a short walk (approximately 10 minutes) to Petrie Island Beach.
