Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Château Frontenac, head down the Dufferin Boardwalk towards the Dufferin Terrace. The Saint-Louis Forts and Châteaux National Historic Site is located at the end of the boardwalk, just past the Terrasse Dufferin. It is directly adjacent to the Château Frontenac and is easily visible. This walk should take approximately 5 minutes.

  • Walking

    If you are at Place Royale, exit the plaza and head towards Rue du Petit Champlain. Follow the street until you reach Rue de la Montagne. Turn right and continue walking straight until you reach Rue D'Auteuil. Turn left on Rue D'Auteuil and walk straight until you reach Dufferin Terrace. The Saint-Louis Forts and Châteaux National Historic Site will be on your right. This route will take around 15 minutes.

  • Public Transit

    If you are further out in Old Quebec and want to use public transportation, take the RTC bus line 1 or 11. Get off at the 'Château Frontenac' stop. From there, walk down the Dufferin Boardwalk towards the Dufferin Terrace, where the site is located. The bus fare is approximately CAD 3.50, and you can purchase tickets at kiosks or on the bus.
