To reach Malalcahuello-Nalcas National Reserve via public transport, begin by taking a bus from Temuco to Curacautín. Buses typically take around 1.5 to 2 hours and cost between CLP 3,000 and CLP 10,000. From Curacautín, you can hire a taxi or arrange a shuttle to the reserve, which is approximately 20 km away. A taxi may cost around CLP 10,000-20,000.

If driving to Malalcahuello-Nalcas National Reserve, start from Temuco and head east on Route 5 (Pan-American Highway) towards Curacautín. The journey takes about 1.5 hours (90 km). As you approach Curacautín, take the exit for Route 181 and follow it until you reach the reserve entrance. Parking is available at the reserve entrance at no extra cost. Note that from Victoria, take Route 181 east, which is fully paved, for approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.
