If you are driving from Temuco, take Route 5 (Pan-American Highway) south towards Villarrica. Continue on Route 5 for about 50 km until you reach the junction for Route 181. Take Route 181 towards Malalcahuello. Stay on Route 181 for approximately 25 km, following the signs towards Reserva Nacional Malalcahuello. The entrance to the reserve is well marked, and parking is available at the visitor center.

From Temuco, you can take a bus to the town of Lonquimay. Several bus companies operate this route, and the journey takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. Once in Lonquimay, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a local shuttle to take you to Reserva Nacional Malalcahuello, which is about 30 km away. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.
