Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach Playa Punta De Parra from Concepción, start by heading to the main bus station, Terminal de Buses Collao. You can take a local bus or walk to get there, depending on your proximity. Once at the terminal, look for buses heading to Tomé. Buses to Tomé operate frequently, so you shouldn’t have to wait long. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at 'Playa Punta De Parra' or 'Camino Interior Punta de Parra'; they will let you know when to disembark. After getting off, walk a short distance towards the beach along the path leading to Playa Punta De Parra.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber or Cabify. Simply input 'Playa Punta De Parra, Tomé' as your destination. The ride from the center of Concepción to Playa Punta De Parra will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The drivers are familiar with the area, so you can relax while they navigate.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, renting a bicycle is a great way to explore the area. Start from the center of Concepción and head towards the coastal road known as Ruta 160. Follow the signs towards Tomé. The ride will take about an hour and a half, depending on your pace. Once you reach Tomé, follow the signs leading towards Playa Punta De Parra. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you have a map or GPS to help guide you.

• Walking

  While walking all the way from Concepción to Playa Punta De Parra is quite a trek (around 20 km), it can be done if you're fit and enjoy long walks. Begin your journey by walking towards the coast, aiming for Ruta 160. The route will take you through urban areas before leading to scenic coastal views. Plan for around 4-5 hours of walking. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water and snacks. Once you reach Tomé, follow local signs to the beach.
