Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start your journey at the main bus terminal in Coquimbo, which is located at Av. Costanera. Look for buses heading towards Andacollo. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Andacollo, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Ruta D447. From there, walk along Ruta D447. The Collowara Tourism Observatory will be on your left as you approach.

  • Shared Taxi (Colectivo)

    At the main square in Coquimbo, look for colectivos (shared taxis) that are heading to Andacollo. The fare is usually affordable and the ride takes around 30-45 minutes. Once you reach Andacollo, request to be dropped off at Ruta D447. Walk along Ruta D447 for about 10-15 minutes until you see the Collowara Tourism Observatory on your left.

  • Walking from Andacollo Center

    If you find yourself in the center of Andacollo, head towards Ruta D447. It is about a 20-minute walk. Follow the signs towards the observatory, which will be located along the main road. Keep an eye out for the observatory signage as you approach.
