If you are traveling by car, start your journey from downtown Santiago. Head east on Avenida Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins (also known as La Alameda) and continue until you reach the intersection with Avenida Vitacura. Turn right onto Avenida Vitacura and follow it until you reach the junction with Avenida La Dehesa. Turn left onto La Dehesa and drive up towards the mountains. Continue on this road until you see signs for El Colorado. Follow the signs, which will lead you to El Colorado Ski Resort located at El Colorado 503, Lo Barnechea. Be aware that there is a toll fee of approximately CLP 1,500 to 3,500 on the roads leading into the mountains.

To reach El Colorado using public transportation, take the Metro Line 1 (the red line) to the Tobalaba station. From Tobalaba, transfer to the Metro Line 4 (the blue line) and go to the Plaza de Maipú station. Once you arrive at Plaza de Maipú, look for the buses that head towards the ski resorts. Specifically, you can take bus 4 or 5, which have routes that go up to El Colorado. The bus fare is approximately CLP 1,200. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic.
