Car
If you are driving, start at the main entrance of Torres del Paine National Park. Follow Route 9 (the main road through the park) heading towards the Salto Grande area. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Salto Grande. Once you see the sign, turn onto the road that leads to the viewpoint parking area, which is clearly marked. Parking is available close to the viewpoint, and it is free of charge.

If you are using public transportation, check the local bus schedule for services running within Torres del Paine National Park. Many buses operate from the main entrances to various points in the park, including stops near Salto Grande. Get off at the Salto Grande stop, which is well-marked. From there, it is a short, easy walk (about 10 minutes) to the viewpoint of the waterfall. Make sure to check the return bus times to ensure you do not miss your ride back.

For those who enjoy hiking, you can reach Salto Grande by taking one of the trails that lead through the park. Starting from the nearby Pehoé Lake area, follow the marked hiking trails towards Salto Grande. This hike is approximately 3 km (1.9 miles) one way and offers beautiful scenery along the route. Be sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water, as the trails can be rugged in places.
