Getting There

  • Car

    From Ciudad Perdida, head towards the nearest town, Minca, where you can find the main road. Take the road connecting Minca to Santa Marta, which will be your first leg of the journey. Once you reach Santa Marta, look for the signs directing you to the highway that leads north towards Riohacha. After approximately 45 minutes on the highway, take the exit for Palomino, which is well marked. Continue on this road until you reach the town of Palomino, which is about 30 minutes from the highway exit. Be mindful of speed limits and road conditions, especially in rural areas.

    From Ciudad Perdida, make your way back to the town of Minca. In Minca, you can catch a bus or shared taxi (also known as 'colectivo') heading towards Santa Marta. Once you arrive in Santa Marta, head to the city bus terminal. Look for buses or minibuses that are heading to Palomino. The journey from Santa Marta to Palomino will take about 2 hours. Tickets usually cost around 10,000 to 15,000 COP. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they are going to Palomino before boarding.
