Getting There

    If you are driving from any location in Tolima Department, head towards the town of Salento, Quindío. Use GPS or a map app to navigate to Salento. Once in Salento, drive towards Vía al Valle de Cocora. Follow the signs for Cocora Valley, which is approximately 11 kilometers from Salento. The road is well-marked, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Parking is available at the entrance to the valley, but be prepared to pay a small fee (around 5,000 COP).

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Cocora Valley using public transportation, first make your way to Salento. You can take a bus from major towns in Tolima Department to Salento. Once you arrive in Salento, head to the main square (Plaza de Bolívar) where you will find jeep taxis ('Willys') that go to Cocora Valley. The jeep ride costs around 3,000 COP per person and takes about 30 minutes. Make sure to confirm the return schedule with the driver, as the last return trip from Cocora Valley typically leaves around 5:30 PM.
