    From downtown Boulder, head to the Boulder Transit Center at 14th St & Walnut St. Take the 'SKIP' bus towards Gunbarrel for about 20 minutes. Get off at 'Gunbarrel - 63rd St & Spine Rd'. Walk north on 63rd St for about 0.4 miles to Chaparral Ct, then turn right. The Shelby American Collection is at 5020 Chaparral Ct on your left. A single bus fare is $3.00.

The Shelby American Collection, located in Boulder, Colorado, is a museum dedicated to preserving the legacy of Carroll Shelby and the Shelby American Team. Founded in 1996 by local Shelby enthusiasts, the collection showcases an impressive array of Cobras, Shelby Mustangs, and Ford GT40s that defined American auto racing in the 1960s. The museum displays some of the most historically significant Shelby American cars ever built, made possible by the generosity of Shelby owners and collectors. Visitors can explore the evolution of these iconic vehicles, from Shelby's British AC predecessor and the 289 and 427 Cobras to the Daytona and Willment Coupes, Ford GT, and GT350 Shelby Mustangs. In addition to the cars, the museum features an extensive collection of race records, period photographs, memorabilia, and tributes to the pioneer drivers and visionaries of the era, including Carroll Shelby, Ken Miles, Dan Gurney, and others. The Shelby American Collection is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization. It operates out of an unassuming 10,000-square-foot building in Gunbarrel, near Boulder. The museum is open to the public on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
