Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center, walk east along the paved paths towards the Siamese Twins Trail. Follow the signs; the walk is approximately 0.6 miles and offers scenic views. Remember to bring water and wear comfortable shoes.

  • Driving

    From the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 1805 N 30th St, Colorado Springs, head east on 30th St toward W Colorado Ave. Turn right onto W Colorado Ave and continue for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto N 8th St, then immediately turn right onto Garden Dr. Follow Garden Dr for about 1 mile to the parking areas near the Siamese Twins trailhead. Parking is free. Consider using the free shuttle from the overflow lot if parking is full.

The Siamese Twins formation is a must-see within Colorado Springs' Garden of the Gods, offering a unique perspective on the park's beauty and geological history. These twin red rock spires create a natural window through which visitors can capture stunning views of Pikes Peak. Formed from ancient sand dunes over millions of years, the Siamese Twins showcase the results of erosion that sculpted the unique landforms of Garden of the Gods. The area was originally home to the Ute people, who treated the land with respect. The park was given to the city of Colorado Springs in 1909 by Charles Elliott Perkins, with the stipulation that it remain free to the public. The Siamese Twins Trail is an easy, family-friendly hike of approximately 1 mile round trip, with a minimal elevation gain. The trail is mostly gravel, with some narrow sections and slight elevation gain. From the South Spring Canyon Picnic area (parking lot #16), the hike takes about an hour.
