The carousel operated in this location from 1928 to 1995, when the park moved to its current downtown location. The carousel itself, PTC #51, was built between 1925-1928 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. It featured 67 horses, including 44 jumping horses and 2 Roman chariots. Today, the dome still stands, offering a glimpse into a bygone era. While the carousel is no longer present, the architectural marvel of the dome captures the essence of early 20th-century entertainment. The surrounding area has been redeveloped into the Highlands' Garden Village, but the dome and the Elitch Theatre remain as historical landmarks.
