  • Walking

    From Highland, head southeast on W 32nd Ave towards the intersection with the I-25 corridor. Cross over the highway at the pedestrian bridge. After crossing, continue straight onto N Speer Blvd. Walk along Speer Blvd until you reach the intersection with Colfax Ave. Turn right onto Colfax Ave and continue walking east. The Colorado State Capitol will be on your left at 200 E Colfax Ave. The total distance is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 30 minutes on foot.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    From Highland, walk to the nearest bus stop at 32nd Ave & Pecos St. Take the RTD Bus Route 32 heading towards downtown Denver. After approximately 15 minutes, disembark at the Colfax Ave & Broadway stop. From there, walk east along Colfax Ave for a few blocks, and the Colorado State Capitol will be on your left at 200 E Colfax Ave. The bus fare is $3.00 for a one-way trip, which can be paid via cash or a MyRide card.

  • Public Transit (Light Rail)

    Walk to the nearest light rail station, which is the 'Union Station' station located at 17th St & Wynkoop St. Board the light rail on the W Line towards Jefferson County Government Center - Golden. Transfer at the 'Lousiana/Pearl' station to the E Line towards Lincoln Station. Get off at the 'Colfax at Auraria' station. From there, walk east along Colfax Ave. The Colorado State Capitol will be on your left at 200 E Colfax Ave. The light rail fare is $3.00 for a one-way trip, payable with cash or a MyRide card.
