Walking
To reach the Animas River Trail, start from the Durango Transit Center located at 2500 Main Ave. Head south on Main Ave towards 25th St. After about 0.3 miles, turn right onto 25th St. Continue for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with Animas View Dr. Turn left onto Animas View Dr, and you will find the entrance to the Animas River Trail on your right. The trailhead is a short walk from this intersection.

Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle, start at the Durango Bike Company located at 100 E 4th Ave. From there, head south on 4th Ave. Turn right onto Main Ave and ride south for about 0.5 miles. At the intersection with 25th St, turn right and then take another right onto Animas View Dr. The entrance to Animas River Trail will be on your right. The trail is bike-friendly, so enjoy the scenic ride along the river!

To get to the Animas River Trail using public transportation, take the Durango Transit bus from any downtown stop. Board the bus heading towards the 'North Main' route. Get off at the stop near 25th St and Animas View Dr. From the bus stop, walk east on Animas View Dr, and you will see the entrance to the Animas River Trail just a short distance ahead.
