From downtown Durango, start at the Durango Welcome Center at 802 Main Ave. Walk north on Main Avenue past 37th Street. Make a slight right onto Animas View Drive. Continue for approximately half a mile; the entrance will be on the right. Note that there is no on-site parking. This walk takes approximately 30-40 minutes. There are no costs associated with walking.

From the Durango Transit Center at 250 W 8th Street, take Route 2 towards the Animas Valley. Disembark at the stop closest to the intersection of Animas View Drive and East 32nd Street.
