Founded in 2012 by Jeff, Brian, and David, Paradox operates with a passion for experimentation, blending modern brewing processes with ancient techniques. The brewery is set on three acres at an elevation above 9,000 feet and is powered by 100% wind energy, with plans to incorporate solar power.Paradox's beers undergo a unique polymicrobial fermentation process, utilizing a combination of intentional and spontaneous fermentation with various yeasts and bacteria. The brewery harvests its own wild and feral Brettanomyces from the rich Colorado mountain environment. Base recipes are carefully selected, and the beers are aged in barrels for a minimum of four months, sometimes up to several years, before blending. This meticulous process results in one-of-a-kind flavors that define Paradox's signature taste.Visitors to Paradox Beer Company can enjoy a selection of barrel-aged American wilds, sours, and lagers in the spacious beer garden, which offers stunning mountain views. Local food trucks often provide food. The taproom is open Monday and Thursday through Sunday. Paradox distributes its beers to retailers in several states, including Colorado, California, and others.
