Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey heading south on US Highway 287 from Fort Collins. Continue south until you reach the intersection with I-25. Merge onto I-25 South and follow the highway for approximately 50 miles until you reach Exit 217 for US Highway 66. Take this exit and head west on US 66 for about 12 miles until you arrive at the town of Lyons. In Lyons, take a left onto CO-7 and follow it for roughly 15 miles, where you will then turn right onto CO-119 towards Black Hawk. Continue on CO-119, which will merge into Clear Creek Blvd. The entrance to the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway will be on your left. Be aware of any parking fees in Black Hawk, as the area may charge for parking.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a Bustang bus from Fort Collins to Denver. The Bustang service operates several times a day and takes about 2 hours. Once in Denver, transfer to the RTD Light Rail at Union Station and take the light rail to the end of the line at the 'Golden' stop. From Golden, you'll need to catch the Jefferson County bus (Route 26) towards Black Hawk. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may be limited. Once you arrive in Black Hawk, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Clear Creek Blvd, where you'll find the entrance to the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway.
