Getting There

  • Walking

    From anywhere in downtown Idaho Springs, the Historical Society & Visitor Center is easily accessible on foot. Head towards the 2000 block of Miner Street. The center is located at 2060 Miner St.

  • Public Transport

    The Bustang bus service from Denver to Idaho Springs stops in town. From the bus stop, walk approximately 0.5 miles to reach the Historical Society & Visitor Center. Head east on Colorado 103 and turn left onto Miner Street. The Visitor Center will be on your right at 2060 Miner St. A one-way fare on the Bustang is between $6 and $10.

  • Car

    From I-70, take exit 240 for Idaho Springs. Continue on Colorado 103 from the exit, following the signs for Idaho Springs. Once you reach Idaho Springs, turn left onto Miner Street, and the Historical Society of Idaho Springs & Visitor Center will be on your right at 2060 Miner St. Street parking is available. Paid parking is in effect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The parking rate is $5 for the first two hours, $2.5 for hour three, $2.5 for hour four, and $5 for any subsequent hour, up to $30 for a full day.
