If you are starting from the center of Pagosa Springs, head east on Pagosa Street towards the intersection with 8th Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Hot Springs Boulevard. Turn right onto Hot Springs Boulevard and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Keep an eye out for the local landmarks, such as the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts on your right. Continue until you reach the intersection with 5th Street. Turn left onto 5th Street, and the park entrance will be on your left after about 0.2 miles.

From the center of Pagosa Springs, rent a bike at one of the local rental shops. Head east on Pagosa Street, then turn right onto Hot Springs Boulevard. Biking along this route, enjoy the scenery as you pass local shops and the river. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto 5th Street and continue for another 0.2 miles. Look for the entrance to South Pagosa Park on your left. There are bike racks available to securely lock your bike while you explore the park.
