Car
Start your journey from Colorado Springs. Head west on US-24 W for about 9 miles. After passing through Manitou Springs, turn right onto Pikes Peak Highway at the entrance to Pikes Peak. Follow the highway for approximately 19 miles to reach the Pikes Peak Summit Complex. Please note that there is an entrance fee of $15 per vehicle. The drive may take around 30-40 minutes, but allow extra time for the scenic views along the way.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start by taking the Mountain Metropolitan Transit bus route 33 from Colorado Springs to Manitou Springs. Once you arrive in Manitou Springs, you can catch the Pikes Peak Cog Railway (seasonal operation) which takes you up to the summit. Check the railway's schedule in advance as it may vary seasonally. The total cost for the Cog Railway is around $48 for adults, with discounts for children and seniors.
Shuttle Service
Consider using a shuttle service from Colorado Springs to Pikes Peak. Several local companies offer shuttle services that include round trips to the Pikes Peak Summit Complex. Prices typically range from $50 to $100 per person, depending on the provider and season. Reservations are recommended, especially during peak tourist months.
