Car
If you're driving to Forest Canyon Overlook, start by making your way to the main entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. The most common entry point is via the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station, located at 1000 US-36, Estes Park, CO 80517. Once inside the park, follow the signs for Trail Ridge Road (Road 0). It is approximately 8 miles to the Forest Canyon Overlook from the entrance. Continue along Trail Ridge Road, which offers stunning views and several pullouts for taking pictures. The overlook is located at mile marker 11. The parking lot is on the right side of the road. Be aware that there is an entrance fee for the park, which is currently $30 per vehicle for a 7-day pass.

If you are using public transportation, you can take the Estes Park Shuttle from downtown Estes Park to the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center. From the Visitor Center, you will need to use a shuttle service provided during the summer months to access Trail Ridge Road, as personal vehicles are not allowed on some parts of the road.
